Credit 24 - credit broker in LuxembourgMy credit in Luxembourg

Careful, borrowing money also costs money

How it works

Do you have a project that needs a loan or financing? Here is how your credit application works at Credit 24, from the simulation to the payout, and what is worth knowing before you apply: our lending conditions, the documents we ask for and the databases we consult.

All our credit products are instalment loans: the amount, the term, the rate and the monthly instalment are fixed when the agreement is signed and do not change afterwards.

The essentials

  • Your application: online or by telephone, with no obligation, in a few minutes.
  • Our answer: generally within 1 to 4 working hours, once an adviser has reviewed your application.
  • Your documents: generally your identity documents and proof of income, sent by email.
  • Signing: by appointment at our agency, Monday to Friday and until 7.30pm.
  • Payment: generally on the day you sign, and within 24 hours at most.
  • At the fastest: the money can be in your account 24 hours after your application, if you send your documents as soon as it is approved and can come in to sign quickly.
  • What you pay: nothing for the application, and never any arrangement fees. You only pay the interest on your credit.

The steps of your credit

  1. I simulate and I apply

Choose your credit, the amount and the term in the simulator at the top of this page to see your monthly instalment, then complete your credit application online. Would you rather speak to an adviser? Call us on (+352) 20 20 34 41, Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm and from 2pm to 6pm.

The application carries no obligation, and there are never any arrangement fees, whether or not your credit is granted. Check beforehand that you meet our lending conditions: in particular, you must officially reside in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg or in Belgium.

  2. Credit 24 reviews my application

We analyse your application, chiefly your ability to repay, then send it to the financial partner most likely to accept your profile, for a decision in principle. As with any credit application, certain databases are consulted.

In most cases you receive an answer within 1 to 4 working hours.

  3. I send my documents

Once your application has been accepted, we ask you for your supporting documents by email or electronically: generally your identity documents and proof of income. An adviser may also ask for them during the review, if a point needs checking before the decision. Prepare them in advance using the list of documents required.

  4. I sign my agreement at the office

We see you by appointment at our agency, Monday to Friday and until 7.30pm, to check your identity and your documents, answer your questions and sign your credit agreement with you. Remember to bring your original documents: copies are not accepted.

  5. I receive the money

Payment is generally made on the day you sign, and within 24 hours at most. The money is sent by instant transfer: it arrives within minutes if your bank accepts this type of transfer, otherwise allow one to two working days. You then repay the agreed instalment each month, generally by direct debit, starting one month after the funds are made available.

How soon can I have the money?

That depends mostly on you. Once your application has been accepted, two things set the pace: when you send us your documents, and when you can come in to sign at our agency.

In the best case, the money is in your account 24 hours after your application: you send us your documents right after the agreement in principle, we set the signing appointment for the same day or the next, and your bank accepts instant transfers.

Can I get an instant answer?

Not from a machine: every application is reviewed by an adviser, then by the lender, who must check that you will be able to repay before committing. That takes a little time, and it is also what protects you from a credit that would weigh too heavily on your budget.

In practice, you generally receive an answer within 1 to 4 working hours. An application sent in the evening or at the weekend is handled on the next working day.

What can slow down my application?

Most often, a missing document. The longest wait is almost always the time it takes to send the documents requested. To move faster:

  • prepare your documents before you apply, using the list of documents required;
  • reply quickly if an adviser asks you for a clarification;
  • bring your original documents to the signing appointment.

How much does my application cost?

Nothing. Your application is free and carries no obligation, and there are never any arrangement fees, neither at Credit 24 nor at our lenders. You only pay the interest on your credit. We are paid by the lender, and only if your credit goes ahead: see how we are paid.

What if my application is refused?

If a lender refuses your application, we submit your file to another of our financial partners and let you know, unless you have asked us not to. A refusal costs you nothing.

You can also withdraw at any time before signing, without owing anything. After signing, you still have 14 days to withdraw from the agreement.
