Databases consulted for each credit application
Below is a non-exhaustive list of the databases that Credit 24 and its financial partners consult before deciding whether to grant you credit. If you have any further questions, please get in touch with us.
National Bank of Belgium (NBB)
As with every loan application made through a Belgian credit institution, the Central Individual Credit Register of the National Bank of Belgium is consulted.
The purpose of this check is to protect the consumer against the risk of over-indebtedness that would follow from granting new credit they would not be financially able to repay.
Accordingly, where a person is registered with the national bank following significant payment arrears on one or more current credit agreements that have not been resolved, the credit application will systematically be refused.
Internal databases and external sources of information
Credit 24 and its financial partners also reserve the right to consult their internal databases and to obtain information from third parties, in order to assess whether each credit application is admissible and to evaluate the financial risk attached to the loan.
