Home improvement loan: the benefits
An attractive rate
Benefit from a low rate (from 4.7%) so you can finance your renovation on favourable terms. A competitive rate means the total cost of the credit stays under control and the instalments suit your financial situation.
Terms of up to 180 months
Renovation costs in Luxembourg keep rising. That is why Credit 24 offers a home improvement loan with a repayment term of up to 180 months. A longer term means lighter instalments, better matched to your budget, while letting you take on more ambitious work. You choose the term that fits your financial situation, so you protect your budget while adding value to your property.
Economical
The Credit 24 home improvement loan requires no mortgage registration, since it is an instalment loan. There is no need to visit a notary or to pay additional fees.

The home improvement loan finances everything to do with renovating your property, whether buying the materials or paying for the labour. For example:
Kitchen and sanitary

Heating and insulation can also be financed with the home improvement loan, on their own or with other work. For work that reduces your energy consumption (heat pump, photovoltaic panels, insulation, windows, a roof or façade redone with insulation), however, the energy loan generally offers an even lower rate.
Who can get a home improvement loan?
The home improvement loan is reserved for owners. The property must be located in Luxembourg or Belgium. For work on a property located elsewhere, or if you are a tenant, a personal loan can finance your project.
You must also meet these conditions:
- Own the property, located in Luxembourg (or Belgium)
- Be resident in Luxembourg (or Belgium)
- Receive regular income from Luxembourg (or Belgium)
- Be of legal age (over 18)
- Not be registered as a defaulter or subject to a wage attachment
A Belgian resident is treated exactly like a Luxembourg resident: same conditions, same rates. Residents of other countries are not eligible.
Full details are on the page setting out the conditions for taking out credit. We review every credit application personally before deciding whether to grant the loan.

Your questions about the home improvement loan
What is the maximum amount and term?
You can borrow up to €100,000. The maximum term depends on the amount, under the legal rules: for example 84 months from €15,000.01, 120 months from €20,000.01 and 180 months from €37,000.01.
Do I need quotations?
Yes: the home improvement loan is an allocated credit. The funds are paid on presentation of a quotation signed by you and the contractor (or the supplier of the materials), or of an invoice. For the application itself, an estimate of the amount is enough.
Home improvement loan or mortgage?
The home improvement loan is an instalment loan: no mortgage, no notary, no deed fees. It suits most renovations, up to €100,000. It does not, however, finance a new build or the completion of a new build: those projects are financed with a mortgage.
Can I consolidate my loans at the same time?
If you already have loans running, debt consolidation can bring them together and include an additional sum for your work, in a single monthly instalment.
